Facing a big life change? Let's talk.
FEES AND ENGAGEMENT OPTIONS

Clear fees. A defined scope. No surprises.

Financial planning is personal, and the appropriate engagement depends on the decisions you are facing, the complexity of your financial life, and the level of ongoing support you want.

During the introductory conversation, we will discuss what prompted you to reach out and determine which type of engagement may be appropriate. Before you decide whether to proceed, you will receive a clear explanation of the services included, the work MAP will perform, the applicable fee, and what you can expect from the relationship.

There is no obligation to become a client after the introductory conversation and some basic financial analysis.

Ongoing Financial Planning

For individuals and families who want a comprehensive financial plan followed by continued advice, monitoring, and support without necessarily engaging MAP to manage their investments.
The engagement includes an initial fee for developing the comprehensive financial plan, followed by a recurring monthly planning fee.

The initial fee may be reduced or waived at MAP’s discretion. The specific fee depends on the scope of the engagement, the complexity of your circumstances, the anticipated time and research required, and the level of ongoing support you need.

02

Project-Based Financial Planning

For individuals and families seeking help with a specific decision, transition, or clearly defined financial-planning need.

Examples may include:

Project-based engagements are priced as either a fixed fee or an hourly engagement:

The final fee depends on the project’s scope, complexity, anticipated time, research, and resources required. A portion of the fee may be due when the engagement begins, with the remaining amount due upon completion.

How Your Fee Is Determined

01

Fees are negotiable and are established before work begins. Clients receiving similar services may pay different fees because their circumstances, planning needs, and level of complexity may differ.

02

Your final services and fee will be stated in your written advisory agreement. MAP will not increase an agreed-upon advisory fee without your prior consent.

03

MAP’s fees do not include expenses that may be charged by custodians, brokers, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, accountants, attorneys, or other third-party professionals. MAP does not receive any portion of those additional expenses.
